Modulation source

A modulation source is any module that produces a signal to control another parameter. Common sources are LFOs, envelope generators, sequencers, sample and hold circuits, and random modules. Audio signals and other oscillators can also modulate, as in FM.

The signal is sent to a modulation destination, such as a filter cutoff, an oscillator pitch, or a VCA.
