A MIDI to CV module is a module that receives MIDI messages and converts them into control voltages. A typical module outputs pitch CV, a gate for note on and off, and often velocity, modulation wheel, and clock signals.
It is the usual bridge between a keyboard or a DAW and a modular system. Check how the module handles pitch standards, as some outputs use 1 V per octave and others do not.
