Keyboard controller

A keyboard controller is a device with piano-style keys that sends note data, such as MIDI, to other equipment. It does not make any sound by itself.

In a modular, a keyboard controller usually feeds a MIDI to CV module or sends pitch and gate voltages directly, which lets you play patches with familiar keys.
