Wavefolder

A wavefolder is a module that takes a simple waveform, like a sine or triangle wave, and turns it into a complex waveform full of harmonics. It does this by folding the peaks of the waveform back on themselves once the signal passes a threshold. The further the signal is pushed past that threshold, the more times it folds and the more harmonics appear. Wavefolders can change the timbre of a sound dramatically, and they are a staple of west coast synthesis.
