Precision adder

A precision adder is a module that sums two or more control voltages with high accuracy. It is mainly used for pitch, such as adding a transpose voltage to a keyboard’s output.

Accuracy matters because an error of a few millivolts is heard as an out of tune note, and ordinary mixers may not be accurate enough. Precision adders are often used before a quantizer or an oscillator’s 1V/oct input.
