Offset

Offset adds a constant voltage to a signal, moving all of it up or down without changing its shape. It is used to shift a bipolar LFO so it only goes positive, to set a starting pitch, or to set where a modulation is centered. Many utility modules have an offset control.

Unwanted DC offset in an audio signal is a related but different problem.
