A burst generator produces a short series of pulses each time it receives a trigger. You can usually set how many pulses fire and how fast they repeat.
Burst generators are used to make drum rolls, flams, and ratchets, or to send a fast series of triggers to an envelope or a random source. Some modules add accelerating or slowing timing.
