A voice is the set of modules that produces one sound at a time. A classic voice has an oscillator, a filter, a VCA, and one or more envelopes.
A mono system has one voice, and a polyphonic system has several voices that can play at once. In a modular, you decide what makes up a voice, and you can build as many as you have modules for.
