Red noise, also known as Brownian noise or Brown noise, is similar to pink noise but with a -6 dB/oct decrease in power, making the bass frequencies even stronger. It is generated with a Brownian-motion-based algorithm. In synthesis, it’s used to create warm, deep sounds and to simulate natural phenomena like thunder.
