Hey, yo!
I’m Jason, also known as Dysonant. I’ve been deep into electronic music for a minute, with a strong focus on hardware and modular synths over the past decade. As one of the founders of the New York Modular Society, I’ve been pretty active in the global modular synth scene. Knobulism is my way of sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the years, aiming to help you save time, money, and HP by learning from both my wins and mistakes.
At Knobulism, we take a laid-back, down-to-earth approach to synthesis. I try to steer clear of overly complicated technical jargon and academic discussions, making synthesis simple, straightforward, and enjoyable. I truly believe that anyone can learn and have fun with the art of synthesis, whether you’re a patching pro or just starting out. Our goal is to share knowledge and create incredible sounds without feeling overwhelmed.
Even though I’ve poured way too much time and money into modular synthesis, I’m far from calling myself an expert. Just like you, I’m always learning and experimenting. Knobulism is a journey we’re taking together, so don’t hesitate to jump in and teach me a thing or two when I’m scratching my head.
Whether you’re here to learn, share, or satisfy your curiosity, you’re a part of Knobulism, and I’m glad you dropped in.
