Physical modeling

Physical modeling creates sound by simulating the physical behavior of an instrument, such as the vibration of a string, the air in a tube, or the response of a struck bar. Instead of playing recordings, it calculates how the instrument would respond to being plucked, bowed, or blown.

Modules that use it, such as resonators and string models, produce expressive, natural sounds that react to how you trigger them.
