Generative patch

A generative patch produces music with little or no performance input. It usually combines a clock with random or sequenced voltages, quantizers, and logic, so the system keeps generating new variations within limits you set.

Generative patches often run for long periods and change slowly. Setting the rules and constraints is the creative work.
