Ribbon cable

A ribbon cable is the flat, multi-wire cable that carries power from a busboard to a module. One edge of the cable has a red stripe, which marks the -12 V connection.

The red stripe must line up with the -12 V pin on both the module and the busboard. Connecting a cable backwards can damage a module, so check before powering on. Keyed headers help prevent this, but not every module has them.
