A polyrhythm is the use of two or more conflicting rhythms at once, such as three notes played against four in the same span of time. The rhythms share a common pulse but divide it differently.
In a modular, clock dividers, multipliers, and Euclidean sequencers make polyrhythms easy by running several patterns of different lengths from one clock.
