A module that tracks the volume shape of an input signal and generates a control signal based on its amplitude variations. This control signal mirrors the changes in volume of the input signal. Envelope followers are commonly used to modulate other parameters of a sound, such as filter cutoff frequency or amplitude, in real-time.
